Juliet Sikora (b. Pennsylvania) is a practicing artist in Los Angeles, CA. Varying between a black, white and gold color palette and an oceanic blue, Juliet experiments with texture and fluidity to find a cohesive balance upon the canvas. Her mind plays along the unconscious, feeding into its limitless thoughts and progressions. She experiments with chance medium while working primarily on the ground. The multiple layers of ink, house paint, spray-paint, etc. often times create a multidimensional surface that begins to take sculptural form. Her paintings play with space in this three dimensional manner and also by soliciting an image that slides across a surface without restriction. A slick resin seals her finished product, finding light to also be a playful element when on display. Every piece has its own breath of energy that speaks to a viewer’s senses, allowing them to craft a unique interpretation of its representation.
